THE PROJECT

PROJECT UPDATE: As of October 11, our church family has given more than $83,000 to the Blessman Ministries project. This amount will be doubled by matching gifts. Thank you for your generosity!

Watch videos about the project below.

UNAIDS reports that nearly 1,000 children are orphaned due to AIDS in South Africa each day. Dr. Jim (a board certified family physician and pain specialist) and Beth Blessman formed Blessman Ministries, Inc. (BMI) in August 2001 to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of the children of South Africa.

They provide nutritional support, housing, and medical care, plus training and support for leaders of the African church. Meeting the children’s practical needs opens the door to impacting their lives for eternity.

The money raised for this project will meet an increased need to house more ambassadors and long-term team members to impact the children of South Africa forever. This need requires constructing a fourth lodge (called a Rondoval) to complete the Bob and Leila Thompson Ministry Campus (our 2008 Convention project).

They will also build the Leroy Blessman Lodge, to house 40 short-term team members. This lodge will provide a one-of-a-kind ministry experience where teams build relationships and share in group devotions in a commons area with a commercial kitchen and fireplace. Plus, they will be appropriately housed with other members from their team for a safe, comfortable place to recharge.
